Our Story
Local optometrist Abbas Jaffer established Family Eyecare in 1993 as a community-based, family-run practice with a simple aim: providing high-quality, professional eye care at a reasonable cost.
Fast forward over 30 years and more than 15,000 people in the local area trust us with their eye health. This is something we don't take lightly.
Abbas graduated from City University in 1991 and trained at Moorfields and Central Middlesex Hospitals. He holds special accreditation to manage glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.
Today, the practice is run by Abbas's sons Shaahid and Mujtaba, both graduates of City University and highly-trained optometrists. They're joined by several friendly, highly-competent staff members, some of whom have been with us for over 25 years.
